Bristol is ideally located for the commuter.

Easy access to key motorways (M32, M4, M49 & M5)and major road networks, including Bristol's own ring road make it easy to get around the city, but like all big cities, rush hour is a nightmare, so where you live is a prime consideration if you're going to be travelling.

Bristol's two main railway stations are Temple Meads and Parkway statio.

There are also a number of smaller branch lines operating short hop services that link with the main stations.

First is the City's main bus operator and runs a reliable service.

Bristol Airport is a fast expanding regional airport offering flights worldwide and easy access to Europe.

Interesting facts about Bristol

Bristol has a wealth of great character, explorers like John Cabot, engineers like Isambard Kingdom Brunel and modern heroes like Nick Parks & Banksy (more later).

It is in the only UK city to be short listed for the title 'Green Capital of Europe' and has the honour of being the UK's first 'Cycling City.'

Actors and authors hailing from Bristol include Carey Grant, born in Hughenden Road, Horfield in 1904, and JK Rowling who originates from Yate.

Bristol is home to the once notorious, now revered graffiti artist Banksy. His works can be seen around the city and he chose Bristol for his first public exhibition.

Ocsar winning animator Nick Park's started his career in Bristol at Aardman Animations which was founded by Peter Lord. Possibly best known for their Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep characters, Ardman is today a significant employer and has added cartoon animation to its list of successes with the feature film Flushed Away.
