The BMA provides individual support & representation from the moment you enter medical school at qualification, during training and throughout your medical careers. The BMA represnets medical students and the profesion as a whole, as well as individual & specific groups of doctors. They promote the medical and allied sciences seek to maintain the honour & interests of your profession and promote the achievement of high quality healthcare.
Medical Students Committee (MSC)
The MSC is a branch of practice committee and consists of representatives from all UK medical schools. It campaigns for issues that affect medical students.
Medical School Representatives
Every medical school elects a representative to the national MSC which meets four times a year to discuss issues of national importance. MSC representatives sit on one of the three subcommittees that campaign on behalf of your education, finance & welfare issues.
Student BMA News
Published 11 times a year & sent toll student members with Student BMJ - a monthly journal introducing students to medical journals & broader issues surrounding medicine. Free to all medical student members.

Individual Advice / Fees for Medical Services
There is a large range of services, such as reports or certificates outside a doctor's main contract, for whc doctors may charge fees. The BMA's professional fees committee negotiate a range of fees to cover these services. Individual advice on matters relating to these fees, including disputes, can be obtained by calling: 0870 6060828.
